My name is Jackson Beckerley. I am 27 and have Congenital Heart Disease. When I was born I was diagnosed with a Bicuspid Aortic Valve which led to Aortic Valve Stenosis, Regurgitation and insufficiency. I received balloon valvuloplasty to correct this at 4 months old. The valve has not been replaced yet, so open heart surgery will eventually have to happen for me later in my life. I grew up with restrictions on physical activity and have overtime had them loosened and now with my ambitions I aim to cross a Marathon distance off my bucketlist. 

I am running the 2026 Chicago Marathon with Run with Heart Team because the American Heart Association's research, advocacy, and programs save and improve lives everyday for people like me. 

I look forward to seeing the rest of the Heart warriors part of this team in October 2026 at the finish line. I aim to inspire and showcase other heart warriors or those who know one what is possible.
