I’m running the Chicago Marathon in honor of my dad, who passed away unexpectedly from cardiac arrest in Chicago on the morning of my master’s program graduation from DePaul University. His loss was sudden and life-changing, and it pushed me to learn more about heart health and the importance of prevention and awareness.
Running the Chicago Marathon in his memory gives me the opportunity to turn grief into purpose, by carrying his legacy forward and supporting efforts that help others live longer, healthier lives. I’m proud to run with and raise funds for the American Heart Association, whose work helps advance research, education, and lifesaving care.
Thank you for supporting this cause. Every contribution, big or small, truly means more than I can say.
