In October, I’ll be running the 2026 Chicago Marathon in support of the American Heart Association, and I’m hoping to raise $2,500 for this incredible organization.
As a pediatric cardiac ICU nurse, I have the privilege of caring for some of the strongest patients I will ever meet—children with congenital heart defects and children recovering from heart transplants. Every day I see the courage it takes for these kids and their families to face surgeries, long hospital stays, and uncertain futures. Their resilience is truly inspiring.
Running this marathon is my way of honoring those patients and supporting the lifesaving research, education, and advocacy that the American Heart Association provides. Advances in cardiac care have transformed survival and quality of life for children with heart disease, but there is still so much more work to do.
Your support will help fund critical research, improve treatments, and bring hope to families affected by heart disease and congenital heart conditions.
Training for a marathon is challenging, but it’s nothing compared to what these kids go through every day. I’m running every mile for them.
If you’re able to donate, share this page, or simply cheer me on along the way, I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you for helping me make a difference—one mile at a time.
