Welcome to my page! I am so excited to be running the 2019 Chicago Marathon! I have been fortunate enough to team up with the American Heart Association and will be running in honor of my brother.
"Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the third leading cause of death in the United States. Approximately 356,000 people of all ages experience EMS-assessed out-of-hospital non-traumatic Sudden Cardiac Arrest each year and nine out of ten victims die." My brother, Vince, was a student at the University of Illinois when he went for a run around the campus and suddenly collapsed due to cardiac arrest. This October will be 10 years since Vince passed away and I am so proud to be running this marathon in his memory.
Your donation will be going towards heart disease and stroke research, education, and patient services that save lives. No amount is too small!
So many people are affected by heart disease, so I want to remember anyone in your life who has been taken too soon from heart disease. With a $50 or more donation, you can pick one of the 26 miles where I will run that mile in honor of your loved one. Below you will find each mile that is awaiting sponsorship (for just $50 or more). Please reach out to me, via email (email@example.com), which mile you would like to sponsor and the name of who we will be celebrating.
