I started running in October of 2018 after I had my third child. I suffered from postpartum anxiety and needed an outlet. I joined a running group and was able to meet some amazing people that helped me meet my goal of running a half marathon in October 2019!
I am a registered nurse in the Detroit area and I have worked my entire career with cardiac patients in different capacities; however, at the age of 32 my brother had a heart attack and it reinforced my passion to help as many people as I can with heart disease. I made the decision to run for the charity “The American Heart Association“ for the upcoming Chicago Marathon, and I would ask you to please consider supporting me with a donation.
I am so excited to be apart of the American Heart Association team in conjunction with the Chicago marathon in 2020. I am grateful for this opportunity to combine my compassion for people with heart disease and my passion to meet my personal goal of running a full marathon, 26.2 miles!
The power we have together to make a difference far outweighs what I can do alone. Your generosity would mean so much to me!
Thank you for your support!
