Hello friends! I'm running the Chicago marathon (42.2km/26.2mi) on October 11th, 2020 with my lovely childhood friend Saher Murtaza. Unfortunately, she lost her father and our dear family friend, Mukhtar uncle, to a sudden heart-attack in December. He was an incredibly bright soul and among many things, I most clearly remember him (very patiently...) training the two of us to become better badminton players during his time off. He was an avid runner and often ran marathons to raise money for charitable causes that he was passionate about, some examples being brain injury organizations as well as blind/deaf charities. I will be running in his honour along with Saher, Clive, and Yasmin and have chosen to fundraise for the American Heart Association to support their mission to fight heart disease and stroke and strive to improve lives. Any amount you can donate to the American Heart Association through this fundraising page in support of my run in memory of Mukhtar uncle would be greatly appreciated - no amount is too small. Thank you.
