I'm running 26.2 miles in the 2023 Chicago Marathon, but, everyone's heart is pumping blood through 60,000 miles of blood vessels across their body regularly.
Why I'm Running for the American Heart Association:
January 2023 marks the anniversary of my dad's second heart attack.
I'll never forget answering a call from an unknown California number on January 31, 2022 and hearing my dad’s voice. After driving across the country by himself, he was in the hospital. He had suffered a second heart attack.
Not everyone is fortunate enough to get a third or even second chance. I’m running my first marathon in honor of everyone affected by heart disease.
Why donate to the American Heart Association:
Your donation will help fund lifesaving research, advocate for healthier communities, improve patient care and work for equitable health for all people.
Thank you for supporting American Heart Association. Your contribution is greatly appreciated!
