My journey to run the World's Major Marathons continues!
In October of this year, I will be running the Chicago Marathon for the first time as I continue to pursue my passion for running.
The Chicago Marathon will be my fourth marathon. I ran the New York Marathon in 2021 & Boston in 2022 and am currently training to run Boston in April of this year. Post Boston my focus will be on Chicago and I can't wait to take on a brand new course and city. The Chicago Marathon is going to be an exceptionally special marathon for me. Not only is it considered one of the top marathons in the world but I will have the honor to run the marathon on behalf of the American Heart Association and my mom.
As some of you may know, I lost my mom to a heart arrhythmia when I was just 15 months old. A fatal heart condition is rare for such a young woman. She was only 39 years old when she died. Growing up without my mom was not easy and her presence is missed every day. I would do anything to have her here and for her to see me run. I know she has been alongside me as I have discovered my new found love for running. Now I have the opportunity to return the favor by raising money for the American Heart Association and honor her every step of the way (quite literally).
I want to thank everyone in advance for your continued support. It means the absolute world to me. I also want to thank you for any contribution you may be able to make. I would have never dreamed of being a marathoner in my 20's but here I am, and the support and love has been unmatched. Here's to an amazing cause and running the Chicago marathon for the most important lady in my life. I love you mom!
