Running a marathon is something I have always wanted to do. I have support from my wife, my daughters and all of my family and friends! I have decided to run the Chicago Marathon because of the support they give to the American Heart Assocaition. I am running in dedication to the Atlas family. I will be running beside my friend Phil and supporting him in raising money on behalf of his son, Josh. Unfortunately, last April Josh passed away suddenly from the heart disease, Acute Myocarditis, at the age of 19. Acute Myocarditis is a rare heart disease, which young male adults are at a higher risk of contracting. The loss of a child is something no parent should ever have to endure. I am running to honor Josh and draw attention to this horrible disease. Please help me reach my fundraising goal and support the AHA in their fight against heart disease.
