I am training to run my first marathon in Chicago, back in the state I was born and raised. Join me as I fundraise for the American Heart Association, which is an organization that is near and dear to my own heart, as many family members and friends in my life have dealt with heart disease in one way or another. Half of the reasons I started running (one half being because my mom is an amazing role model and the other half is for mental health) was for the cardio health--after my father passed away suddenly from a heart attack, I knew it was time to take care of my own and break the chain of familial heart disease. I greatly appreciate any assistance, and I hope that together we can continue to spread awareness and discover more of the secrets of our hearts with AHA.
