On December 11th, my family lost Grandpa Fred, better known as Beach Grandpa. For over 30 years, Beach Grandpa struggled with health issues due to congestive heart failure. Beach Grandpa was my biggest supporter in everything I did, especially in athletics. To honor Beach Grandpa I have decided to run the 2025 Chicago Marathon with the American Heart Association team. Thanks to the research and resources of the American Heart Association, my grandpa was given extra years to see his family grow and watch all his grandkids take on their respective athletic endeavors.
