Running the Chicago Marathon with my sister this year is a huge honor! While we have spent the last couple of years training and running races together, this is a whole lot more than just another race for us!
In addition to the many ways we have been touched professionally by cardiovascular disease working as Physician Assistants for many years, we have been greatly affected personally by it as well. In 2009, we unexpectedly and tragically lost our Aunt Sue, who died of a massive heart attack. We will be running in loving memory of her, in addition to honoring many others we know who's lives have been taken or affected by heart disease and stroke.
Thank you so much in advance for joining us in our fundraising efforts and supporting the American Heart Association - a charity that is committed to protecting the hearts we ALL love! Your contribution to our efforts is greatly appreciated! We will be training hard to RunWithHeart and tackle another 26.2 together this coming October!
