Hey there!
I’m so excited you’ve found your way to this page – and even more thrilled to share that I’ll be running the Chicago Marathon with the RunWithHeart team in October 2025!
I started running just a couple of years ago as a way to push myself and take on a challenge that seemed impossible. And let me tell you, running is hard! After almost every half marathon or marathon, I find myself thinking, "I’m never doing that again." Yet, here I am, still chasing that incredible sense of accomplishment that comes when you cross the finish line.
But this journey is about so much more than just running a marathon. Sure, I’m excited to feel that rush of crossing the line, but I’m also deeply committed to raising awareness about heart disease.
I’m sure someone you know has been affected by heart disease, whether in your family or circle of friends. Last year in Australia, cardiovascular disease accounted for nearly 12% of the total burden of disease (14% in men and 10% in women), ranking just behind cancer, mental health, and musculoskeletal conditions. It’s also the leading cause of death worldwide.
I’m aiming to raise $3,500 AUD to support heart research, and I would be so grateful for your support in helping make that goal a reality.
Thank you for contributing to the American Heart Association! Your support means the world.
