Welcome to my Run With Heart Home Page. This is my second year running the Chicago Marathon as part of the American Heart Association Team. I run again this year in honor of my father, Jim,who passed away last year after an long and courageous battle with CHD and CAD. Many of you know my father and have stories about his love for life and his generosity. Your help in keeping his name alive through the Ameerican Heart Association is greatly appreciated.
As for me, I was diagnosed with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) in December, 2015. After undergoing quintuple bypass surgery, I vowed that this disease would not get the best of me. I lost 125 pounds and became a runner. I now run to stay alive as well as keep alive the memories of those that lost their lives to this terrible disease.
In 2017, I ran my first marathon, in NYC no less. In 2018, I ran three additional marathons, including the Chicago Marathion with the American Heart Association. In 2019, I will once again run the Chicago Marathon with the American Heart Association. Please donate and help me meeting my fundraising goal. Thank you for supporting the American Heart Association. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
