Hi folks! I'm raising funds for American Heart Association. "Why," you ask? I'm glad you asked. It is because my mama and my brother experienced atrial fibrillation and it was miserable. Because my maternal grandfather died of heart disease before I was born, and his wife, my Granny, died from heart disease when she remained a vibrant woman otherwise.
Most of all, I am fundraising for those currently living with heart disease which includes my husband, Phillip Ellis and wonderful friend Pam. The strides made in treating heart disease has saved their lives. He takes daily medication and has three stents to correct major blockages. She had a recent, life-saving surgery. I'm thankful that the progress made to heart disease treatment has kept Phil mobile and comfortable. He plants a garden each spring, he runs our small farm on a daily basis and he is my much loved companion and friend. Pam is alive and as vibrant as ever.
The beach ride is a fun activity associated with fundraising. I was lucky enough to attend for the 1st time in 2022. Meeting my fundraising goal will make it more memorable to attend the 2023 AHA beach ride with my horse, Journey.
Thank you for supporting American Heart Association. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
