This fall, I will be joining riders from across the country in a fund raising event for the American Heart Association. Last year, nearly 2,000 riders and horses from 23 states gathered in Myrtle Beach after raising over $425,000 thanks to the American Heart Association (AHA) Beach Ride.
The amazing Horse Rescue that I volunteer with, brought over 20 horses to the Beach Ride last year. Words cannot describe what it feels like to see these amazing animals who were once neglected, injured, or unappreciated, rise to the challenge of being ridden on a beach and trusting their rider to venture in to the waves. This event is a win-win for the rescue horses and the AHA.
I lost my Dad to heart disease and several other family members and friends have been impacted by this disease. Since 1 in every 3 deaths in the United States are caused by heart disease and stroke, chances are someone you know or love has been impacted as well.
These are reasons why I am honored to be a part of this fundraising effort. It is my hope that you will help support the AHA by making a donation. No amount is too small and every penny goes directly to the AHA. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Thank you for your consideration to support this cause.
