My grandma had a stroke at a very young age which left her paralyzed, and unable to speak. She has a very rare heart condition that caused the stroke. This condition was also passed to both of her children. My aunt had mini strokes in her 20s but they caught it before the strokes got worse. My dad was checked multiple times and they always said he was fine. In 2020, after a terrible incident, they discovered my dad also has this heart condition. All three family members had to have open heart surgery to remove tumors, causing the problem.
My paw paw was a veteran in the Vietnam war and during this time the use of agent orange later caused him to have heart attacks and blocked arteries. When he passed with Covid his heart condition caused more difficulties and the doctors couldn't do anything further.
In 2010, my maw maw had a stroke unexpectedly which left her weak on her left side and memory lose. Because of this stroke she continued to have problems throughout her life, unfortunately in 2019 she passed from pancreatic cancer.
I am riding in honor of my grandma, aunt, and my dad. I also ride in memory of my maw maw and paw paw.
