Ride-A-Rescue

Meet Ride-A-Rescue: Our team is primarily composed of rescue horses that are part of Ride-A-Rescue Inc. a 501c3 non profit located in Radford Virgina. Most of the team members that bring one of these horses are one of our dedicated volunteers who have committed many years of service to help make a difference in these rescues lives.

But you don't have to be part of our volunteer team or the Non profit to join our AHA beach team!! We welcome anyone who wants to join! Our goal at the AHA Beach ride is to help support the AHA in their efforts to save people with heart issues and what better way to show that support then by bringing horses that have gotten a second chance along with the people who work so hard to give these horses a second chance.

So if your looking for a great AHA beach team to be part of feel free to join us! And if our story and passion touches your heart please consider donating to our team so we can help heal someone else's heart! Save a heart, Ride-A-Rescue!

More about the Non-Profit Ride-A-Rescue Inc.

At Ride-A-Rescue, we believe in second chances for horses and for the people who love them. Ride-A-Rescue is a volunteer-run program dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses that have faced abandonment, neglect, or abuse. We are a equine rescue service in Montgomery County, the New River Valley, and surrounding areas. Our primary farm is operated in Radford Virginia just a few miles away from Radford University in Radford and only 15 minutes from Virginia Tech. Ride-A-Rescue, Inc. is a 100% volunteer-operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our mission is twofold:
1 - the rescue and rehabilitation of abused, neglected, or surrendered horses with the ultimate goal of placing them in permanent, loving homes.
2 - simultaneously delivering a vital, powerful service that enriches our community?s mental, social, physical, and economic well-being
We are more than a typical horse rescue; we are a dynamic community resource. We integrate our rescue herd into public-facing events and opportunities, including our flagship ?Ride-A-Rescue? trail riding program and tiered horsemanship and riding lessons. This engagement creates a powerful, self-sustaining cycle: the proceeds from every ride, lesson, or lease directly funds the horses? complex care, making the community an active participant in the healing process. We are committed to building confidence, responsibility, compassion, and connection between people and equines, giving second chances to both.

MANY OF THE HORSES IN OUR CARE GO ON TO BECOME TRUSTED TRAIL PARTNERS, LESSON HORSES, AND AMBASSADORS AT LOCAL EVENTS HELPING NOT ONLY TO HEAL THEMSELVES BUT TO FUND THE ONGOING CARE OF OTHERS STILL IN RECOVERY.
