For the 41st year, the American Heart Association is fundraising through the American Heart Association Beach Ride. Their over all goal is $550,000 for the event.
I have set my goal to raise $1000 before the end of October. Every dollar counts. Please help me achieve my goal and support the American Heart Association to continue their battle with heart disease all across the United States.
Heart disease runs in my family. My father, brother and I were all diagnosised with Atrial Fibrillation at the ages of 55 years old. AFib, as it is often referred to, contributes to increase risk for stroke. Thankfully there are medications and procedures that can control Atrial Fibrillation. I was on medication for some years and then had what is called a Cardiac Ablation in 2017 which is a procedure that helps "straighten" out the electrical wiring in the heart. I remain symptoms free for the most part which has significantly decrease my chance of having a stroke.
Thank you for your support, caring and giving in this ambitious endeavor!!!
