As a woman who has had a heart attack at age 40 and double bypass a year later, and a 2 year old daughter who had a hole in her aorta. I feel it is my duty to participate in the AHA beach ride fundraiser to help give back to such an important cause and organization.
My heart attack changed the dynamics of our family. I am now retired on disability and have found new life in caring for horses and a farm.
Participants of this fundraiser travel with their horses to Myrtle Beach from all across the US to ride on the beach. Each participant is charged with the task of raising money for research done by the AHA to find cures for heart disease of all types that affect children and adults. My fundraising goal is $1000.00 but each and every amount counts for a good cause.
