Maddie and I can't wait for the Beach Ride this year. This will be our 5th AHA Beach Ride and we look forward to each one all year long. Why do we ride? I ride in memory of my Grandpa who died from heart disease and in Honor of my friend's little brother, Billy, who had a heart transplant at less than 1 year old. I believe in the Heart Association and have learned so much about healthy living and taking care of my heart by being a part of AHA events. I have even learned compression only CPR. I have met so many people that have been touched by the work of AHA. So my reasons to ride just keep growing. I am so excited that our 4H club is taking part in Ride with A Heart, it is important that kids learn to be healthy too. My mom says I bleed 4H green, and our 4H motto is HEAD, HEALTH, HEART and HANDS. Last year I was able to raise $1500 and my team raised almost $4000. It is my goal to be a Super Star fundraiser once again to help AHA help families in need, research new ways to increase heart health and prevent heart disease deaths. My friend (and little sister) Savannah and I hope that our team will raise more than $5000 this year. We ride to save lives, will you support us?
