          Why We Walk

“I’m participating in the Los Angeles Heart Walk and supporting the cause for three reasons. One, my father is a heart attack survivor and he wouldn’t be alive today if it weren’t for advances in research made possible by funds raised at events like the Heart Walk. Two, as a black woman with a family history of heart disease, I want to help ensure that people are AWARE of the research and information available on heart health as it relates to them – it could save their lives! Three, I’m walking to hopefully jump-start my health because I truly need to live forever, in the best shape possible, so that I can be there for my child who has ASD and could not live on his own. I hope you’ll join me in supporting this important cause by making a donation.”
