We are delighted to announce that Sunita Williams Elementary School will be participating in the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge for an incredible 21st year!
On Friday, February 14th, we will host our annual Kids Heart Challenge celebration in the gym at Sunita Williams during the school day for students in grades K-5. Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity to jump rope, enjoy music, and perhaps win a raffle prize or two — all while having fun along the way. Over the past 20 years, Sunita Williams/Hillside School has contributed nearly $400,000 to the American Heart Association!
Students participate in the Kids Heart Challenge by learning how to jump rope in various ways during their PE classes in the upcoming weeks. While finding sponsors to support their efforts is greatly appreciated, it is not necessary to participate. Students interested in finding sponsors can follow the directions attached to this letter, download the Kids Heart Challenge App with parental help, or visit heart.org/KHC to register. Sponsorships contribute to funding the American Heart Association, which supports cardiovascular and stroke research.
We hope you share our excitement in supporting our students in this significant experience! Please take a moment to review the attached letter from the American Heart Association for more information about the event and its cause.
