Hello Glen Acres Elementary School students, families, and friends. I am so excited because it is that time of year again as Glen Acres begins preparing for their annual Kids Heart Challenge Event! Last year Glen Acres was the 3rd highest fundraising school, out 490 schools, in the state of Pennsylvania. Glen Acres was #1 in both Chester County and in the West Chester Area School District. We raised over $42,ooo.oo for the American Heart Association. This year the challenge has become more difficult due to student enrollment which has decreased in our school. The event has become a staple in our Glen Acres community, one which many students are extremely excited. Students at Glen Acres having been working hard on improving their jumping rope skills, fundraising for the American Heart Association and preparing to earn all those generous dollars donated by friends, family and our awesome community. To earn all the dollars donated Glen Acres will be jumping rope on Thursday, February 13! Fundraising for the program will conclude on Feb 20.
