Ebonee Flack Sifuentes was a mother, stroke survivor, and a fighter. After battling a stroke in October 2014, she relearned how to walk, talk, and count, which was particularly important as she worked as a financial expert and numbers were essential to her profession. Before her untimely passing, Ebonee bravely shared her journey with 450+ attendees at the 2024 Go Red Luncheon, encouraging the audience to prioritize their health and learn the warning signs of stroke. We are extremely thankful to have spent those precious moments with her and enjoyed witnessing her championing women’s heart health. During this difficult time, we extend our sincerest condolences to Ebonee’s loved ones and friends.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this. Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death. It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Sign up to participate, to lead a team, to donate, to recruit friends and family. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
