We Walk to Save Lives!
Ultimate Medical Academy continues its support for the American Heart Association (AHA) by joining and inviting others to participate in the Nov. 15 Tampa Bay Heart Walk.
Dr. Shadel Hamilton, UMA’s Clearwater Campus President, and 2025 Heart Walk Executive Cabinet member, is leading Team UMA in our efforts to help the AHA fight the No. 1 cause of death in the U.S. -- heart disease.
UMA has actively taken part in the Heart Walk since 2023, each year leading the Tampa Bay Region in registered Heart Walkers. In 2024 we had over 870 team members and contributed almost $35,000 to the cause. We made a significant impact on a local level too, distributing 200 Basic Life Support provider manuals through the Tampa Family Health Center training program for community members -- equipping individuals with lifesaving skills -- and we provided two CPR Anywhere Kits to Belmont Heights and Pinecrest Little League clubs.
This year, we are inviting our UMA community to join us in helping to raise $20,000 for the AHA. UMA has committed to matching the first $10,000 raised.
All funds raised will help the AHA’s communities through professional training, education, and research funding.Together we can equip and empower our communities to take charge of their heart health!
