Every year, 9 out of 10 people who suffer a cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive. In most of these cases, bystander CPR wasn’t performed—but we can change that.
This cause is deeply personal to me. I’ve lost my dad, grandmother, aunt, and uncle to heart disease. Their loss has left a lasting impact on my family, and I walk in their memory. I also walk for someone very special to me who is currently living with heart disease. Their strength and resilience inspire me every day.
Cardiac arrests happen anywhere—at work, at home, on athletic fields, or in our neighborhoods. When someone nearby is trained and ready to act, lives can be saved. The difference between life and death can come down to a few prepared hands and a few critical minutes.
Now is the time to act.
Every step taken and every dollar raised helps train more people in lifesaving CPR, fuels groundbreaking research, and brings hope to families like mine—and maybe yours too.
I walk to save lives.
