I am honored to have this opportunity to walk.
Walking has always been what makes my heart happy. I walk and my mind clears from the busyness of life. I walk and I am close to God and nature.
I learned when joining my MIRI heart walk team that women have higher rates of heart problems due to stress and anxiety. I have battled anxiety all of my life. I have struggled with setting boundaries and balancing my responsibilities and time.
My husband, Patrick has heart disease and I walk for him. We have been married for 30 years and I love my time with him more each day. I want to enjoy my my future with my best friend.
I walk because it is a sweet time to create unity with my MIRI team at MultiCare Research. This job has blessed my life and I am thankful for this team beyond measure.
I walk for the upcoming generation. My heart has great Joy knowing that I can use this opportunity to provide greater opportunities for the young people coming behind me. I want to be a person who loves the next generation well.
