9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But Emma's story was different. On April 25, 2024, at just 3.5 months old, her heart stopped beating. But because of CPR, for 16 minutes she was kept alive by her dad, a hero bystander, and fabulous EMTs. She spent over a week in the PICU, cooled for 96 hours to protect her brain, and today is doing miraculously well! On January 5, our little baby turned ONE!!
