I will continue to carry the torch this year for my bonus Dad Rich Bauer, it was Sunday morning last year the day of the Mini Heart Marathon. My bonus Father and Mother we in attendance to watch my bonus Sister run in the marathon. Everyone was at the finish line waiting for her to cross the finish line when all of a sudden there was a thud and my bonus Dad went into cardiac arrest and collapsed. Without the quick reactions and training of my bonus Brother who immediately began CPR on our Dad, he would not be here today. The fortunate part of this is he was at the finish line and the Medical Professionals were within seconds to help ad stabilize him and then they transported him to the University of Cincinnati where after two weeks he underwent a triple bypass and is doing great today.
Our family will always be grateful to the Doctors and Nurses at the University of Cincinnati for their actios that day and the days that followed.

I am walking in honor of my Dad, my Daughter, my Sister Tracy, my Brother Mike and Cousin Kim who have been effected by Heart Disease and I hope through my participation and donation that I will make a difference in their lives and other peoples lives.
