We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way and we have the power to change that. My dad suffered an in-hospital cardiac arrest and thanks to high quality CPR and defibrillation he was able to get an additional 14 months of time with our family and see different milestones we didn't think would be possible. My mom has survived major cardiac surgery and lives life fully with a mechanical valve and pacemaker. My mother-in-law died unexpectedly from a heart attack. Heart disease is very close to our family and we are passionate about helping to improve awareness and engage the community in education on prevention and treatment options.
