Every 40 seconds in this country someone has a heart attack. Heart disease is the leading cause of death here and around the world. We all know someone impacted by this.
My Dad had his first heart attack at 41. This year, weeks before his 81st birthday, he had another one. Four months later, he is not only surviving but thriving. My Dad is why I've chosen to work for the American Heart Association. It’s why I went on my own journey to improving my health and well being.
I'm fundraising once again for AHA’s Heart Walk because I know personally how much this work can make an impact on one's life. I’m walking for my family. For the ones who don't make it and for all those that still can.
