The American Heart Association is a cause that’s deeply personal to me. My daughter was born with a congenital heart defect, a bicuspid aortic valve, which means her heart has only two flaps instead of the usual three to regulate blood flow through the aorta. She’s thriving today, but her condition will need lifelong monitoring and could bring challenges in the future. Knowing the AHA is out there funding research, improving treatments, and supporting families like ours gives me so much hope – for her future and for the millions of others living with heart defects.
But AHA’s impact goes far beyond congenital heart defects. Every day, 9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive, often because bystander CPR isn’t performed. The AHA is changing that by training more lifesavers, funding research, and turning moments of crisis into moments of hope.
Join me in supporting the American Heart Association. Together, we can save lives.
