This wonderful little boy pictured above, Carter Miller, is my four year old grandson. He was born in 2021 with HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome) which has resulted in him having three open heart surgeries at Boston Children's Hospital to make modifications to his little and growing heart. The work of the American Heart Associations and American Stroke Association became very personal for and only grows at Carter's life journey continues. Without the procedures developed and continuing to evolve through the research of AHA and the innovative pediatric cardiologist who care for these children we would not get to enjoy all the great things Carter has brought to this world.
