In August of 2023, my mother lost her battle with heart disease 10 days after a double bypass surgery due to a cardiac event that took her life. My mom was only 64 years old. Heart-related complications can affect anyone.
The statistics are staggering: 9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside of a hospital don't survive. In most cases, bystander CPR was not performed.
