MY FAMILY IS WHY
Before I had open-heart surgery in 2009, I was worried that my sons would grow up without a father. But I made it. I ran my first marathon 15 months after my surgery and have seen my boys grow from toddlers to young men thanks in part to the American Heart Association.
Heart disease is the #1 cause of deaths in the US, ahead of all cancers and everything else. The American Heart Association, with its focus on research and education, is the leader in the fight against heart disease.
