Welcome to my Woman of Impact Donation Page!
As a collegiate middle-distance runner and an avid runner up until my diagnosis, it was a shock to learn in June of 2020 that I was in congestive heart failure, which resulted from having an apical variant hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. I was also shocked to learn that this was a disease that had been slowly progressing since I was an adolescent. This diagnosis stopped me in my tracks but also allowed me to repurpose my life in a way that I can make an impact.
Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women. I'm teaming up with The American Heart Association and Go Red for Women as a Woman of Impact Nominee to change that. I have two objectives for this campaign: (1) to ensure that all women are aware and educated on the risk of cardiovascular disease to their health; and (2) to help all women have access to the gold standard of care regardless of gender or socioeconomic status.
By donating to this campaign, you are joining the mission to ensure that all mothers, daughters, sisters and wives receive the research and care they deserve in order to fight this disease.
The time is now. Are you with me? To support my campaign, click the Donate button.
