On November 8, our family and friends will join the Palm Beach Heart Walk as Team Oscar Strong to support the American Heart Association.
We are walking for all those affected by sudden cardiac arrest. In March 2024, I went into cardiac arrest after being struck in the chest during a baseball game. Thanks to quick CPR and an AED, I survived.
Each year, more than 350,000 people in the United States experience sudden cardiac arrest outside of a hospital. In most cases, it happens to someone you know at home, on a field, or in your community. Immediate CPR and access to an AED can double or even triple a person's chance of survival.
I am proud to support the American Heart Association's work to expand CPR research, training, and awareness to save more lives.
