This year I'm walking with purpose. Our team, RIse After Stroke, is more than a name-it's a tribute to two incredible people who shaped my life. 

 

My father fought bravely but ultimately lost his battle with heart disease. His strength reminds me every day that every hearbeat matters. My mother, a stroke survivor, continues to rise with courage, resililence, and grace-showing that recover is not just possible; it's powerful. 

 

We walk to honor their journeys, to celebrate survival, and to fight for a futre where more families can say, "We made it through."
