I am fundraising and participating in the American Heart Association Run and Heart Walk on May 14th, because heart health is deeply personal to me. In the 1970s, my grandfather's life was extended because of a pacemaker - an innovation that gave our family more time, memories and hope.
That experience drives my commitment to support lifesaving research and to help raise greater awareness, especially within communities of color where heart disease continues to have a disproportionate impact. Participating in this walk is simply the right thing to do - it's a chance to give back, honor the lives already touched by heart disease, and be part of an effort that truly saves lives.
I invite you to support me in reaching my goal today!
