In December of 2022, I nearly lost my father to a heart attack. It was a terrifying experience that happened in minutes, but thankfully, iwith people close by to help, he was able to get to a hospital and have a successful triple bypass surgery. Post surgery, he began his road to recovery and is still with us today. This experience has deeply impacted me as we found out the cause was due to a genetic disorder that can be passed down, and since that news I've decided to take action in a way that can raise awareness and potentially save lives.
I am participating in this walk to support the American Heart Association, an organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Cardiac arrests don't just happen in hospitals; they can occur at work, in homes, on athletic fields, and in neighborhoods everywhere. The readiness of our community can truly be the difference between life and death.
This walk is not just about raising funds; it's about showing support for my dad and anyone affected by heart disease. I walk to save lives, to spread awareness, and to make a difference. I would love for you to join me in this cause, whether by walking with me, making a donation, or simply spreading the word.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Your support means the world to me.
