When I think about heart health, I think about my Dad.
In his 70s now, he's living proof that a strong heart is about more than just medicine, it's about resilience, support , and second chances. Over the years, he's faced serious cardiac challenges. He underwent open-heart surgery and, at two different times, needed stents placed to keep his heart functioning well. Each moment was frightening for our family, filled with uncertainty and worry. But those moments were also filled with hope.
Watching him come through those experiences changed how I see heart health. It reminded me how precious every heartbeat is and how important it is to support the research, education, and care that make stories like his possible.
Seeing him healthy, active, and enjoying life in his 70s is a gift to our family. And it's why I hope that many more families get to experience the same thing: more time, more memories, and more heartbearts together.
