Our family is walking this year in loving memory of my daughter, Destiny.

Destiny was a devoted mother to her beautiful little girl, Braelynn. Anyone who knew her knew how deeply she loved being a mom. She was strong, compassionate, and the kind of person who always showed up for the people she loved.

Like many families, heart disease has touched our lives in ways we never expected. Since losing Destiny, our family has been learning how to move forward while still carrying her love and spirit with us every single day.

Walking in the American Heart Association Heart Walk has become one small way for us to turn our grief into purpose. We walk to honor Destiny’s life, support lifesaving research, and help create a future where fewer families experience the heartbreak of losing someone they love.
