I walk in honor of my sister, my best friend, my grandfather and now my father that all had Cardiac/Vascular related situations. This is a cause I have always supported due to how close to home it hits.
Now that I am working in the hospital setting I see how truly close it hits and how many people this cause truly helps. Not only has it helped me on a personal level with people that mean so much to me, but it also sheds light on how far the medical world has come to prevent and find Cardiac related issues early on and find things at early stages before they become life threatening.
It's crazy to think 9 out of 10 people that suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. Also with how advanced the medical world is now people are learning they've had heart related conditions their whole lives and now they are adults getting the answers on how and why they feel the way they do.
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more liffesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I walk to honor my family and friends and to help bring awareness to a cause that effects many.
I appreciate if you donate to help me reach my goal, but even if this gives you the final push to get CPR certified or learn how you could help in these type of situations thats awesome too.
