28yrs ago I met this amazing man that changed my world, touched my soul. We created a life, had 2 beautiful children, made a home, and created wonderful memories. While this was all happening we discovered Keith had a heart condition, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, that would change our life, but not stop us, we would keep living. He was the strongest person I have ever met, and was always looking for a way to live. He worked as long as he could, then he had an LVAD placed (2 of them) over a 6 yr period. He would fight on going MRSA infection as a result of the LVAD. He might not feel good, but if he could get out of bed, he was going to find something to do to be useful. He would spend his time helping friends, family and strangers, because he was always willing to help anyone he could. This journey would take us to Cleveland Clinic where he would be blessed with a transplant heart, and the opportunity to continue to give to others a few more years. Keith would embrace his life, live and enjoy the next almost 6 years. Giving to he family and friends, enjoying time that he was so grateful to have. We unfortunately lost him far too soon last May. But we will never forget him and continue to keep his memory alive and the fight to support research for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Please consider joining us in memory of this amazing human, or even a donation for continued research.
