As someone who was diagnosed with coronary artery disease and survived a heart attack less than one year ago, this cause is very near to my heart and  the hearts of many others. 

At the age of 43 with a busy professional and family life I focused on being active and healthy. so when I began to experience symptoms of a heart attack I certainly thought it could not be happening to someone "like me" and thankfully through the amazing advancements in medicine and education that is available to so many I was able to seek treatment in a timely manner and undergo a stenting procedure for an occluded artery something that most definitely saved and prolonged my life. For this, I am thankful and now take this opportunity to give back and educate others
