I walk because as a nurse I have seen lives saved with heart disease treatment, I have performed CPR and helped to save lives. I have also seen lives lost due to the lack of treatment options. I have seen my dad and step dad have cardiac procedures that saved their lives. I  myself have had heart procedures done and without the American heart association the money would not have been there to find these treatments.I have friends who have also been effected by heart disease themselves  or a family member That's just it EVERYONE, in some way has been touched by heart disease.                                                       I know that with every step, I’m making a difference in someone’s life.
