My family has proudly walked with the American Heart Association in previous years, but as we prepare for Detroit’s Heart Walk this year, the cause hits closer to home than ever before.
My daughter, Mira, was diagnosed in utero with Tetralogy of Fallot and underwent repair surgery this past April at just four months old. We are deeply grateful to live in a time when advances in heart medicine have given Mira a clear path toward a full and active life.
We are walking to support the American Heart Association’s mission to enhance CPR training accessibility, bolster bystander preparedness, and fund vital research. Ultimately, we walk to ensure that more families have access to the lifesaving care and medical breakthroughs that made Mira’s outcome possible.
Please join us in Detroit on June 6th! You can walk with our team or make a donation to fuel the research, education, and community programs that save lives. Every step—and every gift—helps hearts like Mira’s.
