Anyone who knows me and my family knows that heart disease runs deep in our family. In 2021, we lost my amazing dad unexpectedly, just weeks after my daughter turned one. My Grandpa Underbakke faced numerous heart complications over the years, including bypass surgery. My Grandpa Brink underwent heart valve replacement surgery. And like so many families, we’ve had other loved ones affected by heart attacks and heart disease.

This year marks the fifth annual Central Iowa Heart Walk for Team Brink Racing. We walk each year in honor of my dad and all the loved ones we carry with us. Our team name, Brink Racing, is a tribute to him.
