I am honored to still be around for my second heart walk I am planning on doing. The 2025 heart walk I was able to walk the whole 5k somehow, planned on 1 mile but went the whole way with lots of stops. This year frankly I am not sure what I can do. I will be getting another right heart cath shortly and even though I am thinking I am stable on my maximum medication doses we will see. I am planning on doing the walk and if able even the whole 5k. As many of you know, I have AL Amyloidosis of the Heart and am alive currently because of the great care from my U of M cardiologist , oncologist , Nancy my wife and soul mate, and most of all, people's prayers for me. I have to give a huge shoutout to the Heart Association though. When I got diagnosed the prognosis was months but a new treatment was just FDA approved and was a game changer I am still here now 2 1/2 years later. That kind of medical breakthrough is possible only through research funding from organizations like American Heart Association. I am on the heart transplant list for a chance for a full life. I am going to attempt this walk, and may have to stop a couple times. I am determined to accomplish this. Please join me by donating to this Heart Walk to help support people in need of great cardiac care and for the future that so many people deserve.
